Valken Adrenaline Takes 2nd Place in 16UAAA at TORHS Winter Nationals!

February 3, 2010

It was a packed house at Joe Dumars for the TORHS Winter Nationals with great teams in all divisions, including an exciting Pro Division with the TOUR Mudcats, Revision Buffalo Wings, and the LA Pama Cyclones and Itan Chavira all in attendance. The battle for the Bantam division was clearly between Valken Adrenaline and Team Advanced Care right from the get go, two very storng teams with very talented players. At the front was Team Advance Care, who also took runner up in the 18U Midget Division, with Adrenaline close on their heels throughout the tournament. In their playoff game Adrenaline defeated Storm 93s, 4-3 in overtime in front of a packed house, sending Adrenaline to the Bantam AAA Championship game vs the stacked Advance Care team. TAC jumped out quick with 2 goals, just 30 seconds apart but Adrenaline regained control and Alec Farrington and Austin Gateman tallied 2 goals, ending the opening half with a score of 3-2. Adrenaline opened the 2nd half with a quick strike, but their goal was called off and the boys experienced a bit of a blow to momentum based on that disappointing call, leaving an opening for TAC, who found their groove and jumped to a 6-3 lead by the middle of the second period. Adrenaline came back with a goal by Bryan Kosciolek, but TAC closed out the win by answering with 3 more to end the game 9-4. Adrenaline played a good game and came away with the Silver, not bad for only their 2nd tournament together as a newly formed team, and having taken the Gold in Bantam AAA at the Thanksgiving TOUR Cup, last month. We are very excited to see what lies ahead for the Valken Adrenaline team as they go into their tournament season and head to Nationals.

Good luck Adrenaline, and keep those medals coming!

For immediate release:

Valken Sports Custom Jersey Program

SEWELL, NJ   January 19, 2010 – Valken Sports announces the launch of an exclusive partnership with Ace Jerseys to provide sports enthusiasts with high-quality, personal and innovative custom jerseys.  These jerseys are custom-built to stringent specifications and will keep you, your team and staff looking clean!

“Ace has been manufacturing jerseys for close to 30 years and is widely recognized as the best in the world”. “We have been making jerseys for professional teams and organizations all over the world and for other well known athletic clothing companies”, says Ace Jerseys President, John Pelligrino. “Ace’s dye-sublimated process means your logo, name, design and numbers are imprinted directly in to the material during the manufacturing process; unlike silk screening, heat seal logos or numbering that will crack, fade and peel over time after many washings. Dye Sublimation will stay the same color for the entire life of the jersey and will never fade like silk screening, heat seal logos or iron-on numbering,” added Pelligrino.

Valken President and CEO, Gino Postorivo is ecstatic to add this custom, world-wide service to the long list of what his team has to offer. “Ace Jerseys’ state-of the-art, digital technology will use Valken’s ultra-rugged, yet functional Redemption and Crusade jerseys as the platform to allow the player to custom-design their look for a very low price and quick turnaround”, says Postorivo.

Look to Valken Sports and Ace Jerseys to take the field by storm!

Valken Adrenaline Rocks Tour Cup in 14 Gold

November 30, 2009

Valken Adrenaline 94 recently played in the TOUR Cup Tournament in Michigan, going undefeated and winning the championship in the 14 Gold division. The players demonstrated outstanding team play, puck possession and control throughout the entire tournament as reflected by their 5-0-0 record and also having the lowest goals against in their division.  In front of a packed arena Valken Adrenaline defeated RBK 94 in a battle that got a little rough in the 2nd period, with the game tied 3-3 and team RBK 94 having 2 players tossed from the game for unsportsmanlike conduct.  But the Valken Adrenaline players stayed composed and patient, and with superior team play defeated RBK 94 in overtime 4-3, with the winning goal coming from Austin Sansom.  Valken Adrenaline racked up the awards with Austin Gateman leading the team with 16 pts, scoring 6 goals and 10 assists, and the point leader in  the 14 Gold division.  Adrenaline also laid claim to the #2 leading scorer of the division, with Bryan Lubin scoring 7 goals and 7 assists.  Adrenaline’s goalie for the TOUR tournament, Josh Raider, won the MVG award.   Defenseman, Max Dubin, was nominated by his team as its “Unsung Hero” of the tournament, for his consistent great attitude and relentless work ethic. Valken Colorado Kodiaks Win NARCh Nationals Silver Medal in Pee Wee Platinum Division

August 3, 2009

2009-narch-nationals-kodiaks-peewee-team-picture

In their first year with Valken as their title sponsor the Colorado Kodiaks Pee Wee hockey team does Valken proud as they come home from NARCh Nationals in Mississauga Ontario Canada with the Silver Medal in the Platinum Division meaning they are the #2 team in North America which is a great accomplishment.

The Kodiaks played teams from New York, Pennsylvania and two from Ontario in the round robin games and came out with a record of 2-1-1 and entered the playoffs as the # 3 Seed. The Kodiaks were able to shut down the high speed and powerful offenses of the East Coast teams with their disciplined defense as they held the four teams they faced to a total of only 5 goal against.

With only four teams advancing to the playoffs the Kodiaks would face Mission Black Ice which was the only team to beat them in the round robin games. In the semifinal game it would be a different story as the Kodiaks applied additional pressure on defense and emerged with a 3-1 win to advance to the Championship Game.

In the Championship game the Kodiaks would face off against the Mississauga Mission Rattlers who they tied 2-2 in the round robin games much to the surprise of NARCh and everyone else. Once again it would be the stingy defense of the Kodiaks versus the high powered offense of the Rattlers. Even though the Kodiaks kept the Rattlers to just 2 goals they couldn’t capitalize on their own offensive opportunities and the Rattlers would prevail with a 2-0 win.

The Kodiaks Pee Wee team was comprised of Michael Ellis, Carter Horwitz, Alejandro Ochoa, Reece Samuelson, Mitch Snyder, Jake Townsend, Kevin Yoon, and our goalies Jason Colbourne and Kyle Hayton. The Kodiaks coaches were Head Coach Dave Fromm and Assistant Coach Tom Samuelson.
